Ah, don't we all remember 2010? Well, you should considering it ended just three months ago. But we remember it as "The Year in Film." Following the disastrous year that 2009, a year filled with shit stains like Transformers 2 and pretentious garbage like Avatar and The Blind Side. A year where the academey dissed brilliant films like Moon and (500) Days of Summer. Overall, 2009 sucked balls. And I wasn't expecting this considering 2008 was so awesome.

And then, of course, came 2010. I wasn't holding out much hope but there were still some movies I was looking forward to. And wouldn't you know it...2010 kicked 2009's ASS! We had Inception, 127 Hours, The King's Speech, The Social Network, The Fighter, Toy Story 3, the list goes on! Sure, there were still a few bad ones (i.e. The Last Airbender, Vampires Suck) and the acedemy still made some mistakes (i.e. Franco/Hathaway, no oscar nom for Nolan, Tom Hooper). But for the most part, 2010 was probably the best year for movies since 2008.

So, if 2010 was so awesome, I guess 2011 will look weak by comparison. Perhaps I'm just suffering from "Awesome Movie Hangover Syndrome", or maybe the lack of Nolan this year is doing me in, but I don't know, 2011 just isn't looking that good. So far the only good movies I've seen this year were Drive Angry 3D (a cheesey yet kick ass Grindhouse flick), Cedar Rapids (a smart comedy), and Paul (my favorite so far). And don't get me wrong, I am still looking forward to many of the movies coming out this year, notably summer blockbusters such as Captain America and Cowboys and Aliens, but I just don't know. 2011 isn't leaving me hungering for movies like 2010 did. Somehow I feel I'm being set up for dissapointment. Plus, we have this to help...

God, I hate Michael Bay...

I probably sound a bit biased in this article, but 2011 just doesn't seem like it'll be that good to me. I feel like this is just gonna be a year for dissapointment.

Worst films of the year so far

Well, it would seem the year is more than half way through and so far 2010 has been....well....an solid year for movies. Well, box office wise, no. But movie wise, I've seen quite a few good ones. But before I get to those, let's start off with

The Worst films of the Year so far.

I'll admit, the movie had its moments and definitely won't make my final list for the worst films of the whole year. However, I was pretty dissapointed. I just felt it should've been a bit better than it was. But, it was a lot better than most of the movies that came out this year. Still, could've been, should've been.

Now THIS was a piece of shit. I fuckin' hated this movie to the very core, and I'm actually a huge Tim Burton fan. I'm actually one of the few people who like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Planet of the Apes. Until watching this, the only movie I hated of his was Corpse Bride. But now that I've seen this, it just goes to show that he's been so on and off as a filmmaker. I could come up with a laundry list of things wrong with this movie. But the biggest problem is that its just a bore fest. Don't bother.

Was it too much to ask for something enjoyable? This shit was fucking boring. Another title for this could be "The Movie that made me hate Sam Worthington." He was bland as hell in this movie and the dialogue was laughably bad. I didn't think there could be a "Clash of the Titans" cheesier than the original.

M. Night, you just lost all credibility. As a hardcore fan of the show, I can tell you this is one of the worst adaptations of a television series I've ever seen. The acting was terrible, there was no character development, the film was rushed, and all the character names were mispronounced!! Go back to film school, M. Night. Come back with something good.

And now, a movie so bad, Ed Wood would be ashamed of it.....

Fuck you. Thats all I can. Fuck you. God smite the people who make these piece of shit spoof movies and kick the asses of the morons who actually find them funny. While it wasn't as bad as Disaster Movie, that is NOT saying much. Everyone of their movies have been awful and this one is no exception. Fuck this movie.
